I believe that coaching is one of the most impactful ways to support leadership development. Through tailor-made, insightful conversations I aim to stretch and provoke clients to think of issues in new ways, and then find effective solutions. My coaching style is warm, empathetic, non-judgemental and yet challenging; this leads to an empowering and productive coaching relationship. I have worked with a wide range of demanding and stimulating leaders across a range of sectors and have extensive experience in large, complex and high-profile organisations. I especially enjoy supporting leaders in new roles, often in pressured and complex situations; developing the high potential leaders-to-be; supporting senior people with transition and career planning, and working with clients in the area of diversity and inclusion. I always encourage clients to sustain the learning and benefits of coaching on a long term basis.
Before coaching, as an HR Director at the BBC, I delivered strategic HR and business objectives on time and on budget. This included the launch of new digital broadcasting channels, co-leading the implementation of a new, streamlined HR service, and devising ground-breaking initiatives that increased racial, gender and disability diversity. The results of the latter are visible on television and radio today. This personal leadership experience, combined with my robust coaching practice, enables me to provide excellent support for those in senior roles. I am a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development and a Member of the Association for Coaching.
