Rosemary is an APECS Accredited Executive Coach
For me, coaching is straightforward. It is about conversations that matter, with a skilled, confidential partner, to effect personal and organisational change; and, to enhance performance and enjoyment at work. It differs from other forms of development because it is entirely focused on your objectives and needs, and timed to match your learning style and busy schedule. I am not wedded to a single approach, but use a range of techniques and approaches to suit the needs of my client. These have been learnt through formal coach training and supervision but, equally importantly, through 10,000+ hours of coaching experience.
I have coached extensively in the private, SME, public and not for profit sectors in the UK and internationally with CEOs, directors and senior executives. As well as individual coaching, I am known for team coaching and enjoy working with teams as they grow their skills, confidence and trust to perform at their best. I am externally supervised, accredited by APECS and a member of EMCC, following their Codes of Ethics.
Before becoming a coach, I had significant business experience at director level in large PLCs. This allows me to empathise with the complexities and issues facing senior people - which are not always as obvious as leadership theory would suggest. I have coached in most major regions of the World: this has taught me the real value of openness to difference, and to listen hard for the meaning behind what is being said. Clients tell me that I am "insightful, pragmatic, challenging when necessary, and supportive when the going gets tough". I am passionate about the value of coaching and determined that my clients will get the best from every session. Outside professional life, I enjoy the outdoors. There is nothing like mucking out a horse's stable in the middle of winter to clear your mind of business issues and restore a sense of balance!
